Reports indicate Davido, Wizkid to renew 'feuding

Nigerian music industry watchers say Wizkid might be getting set to put pen to paper in a massive deal with American heavyweights Sony and RCA, that’s if he hasn’t already signed to them.

It’s amazing and with this comes yet another breakthrough for African entertainment.

Before now, Davido was the only Nigerian musician signed to Sony and RCA, but several others have also enjoyed the wave of greatness currently sweeping the industry.

Ayo Jay is currently signed to RCA Records. Tiwa Savage has a management deal with Roc Nation and Seyi Shay has something with Island Records.
Interesting times, truly interesting times for Nigerian music.

On Monday, September 12, 2016, renowned music blogger and industry critic Ovie took to Twitter and announced that the Ojuelegba star is gearing up for the big move to Sony/ RCA.
In a set of tweets, Ovie stated that the deal places David and Wiz on same pedestal pretty much, with each man expected to churn out world class materials in a genre that has been very recently referred to as Afrobeats by international media.

Both deals are astounding and according to sources in the know when we consider today’s dollar rates in the local market, both pop stars could well be swinging within the billion naira mark in terms of the commercial properties of the contract.

But we are yet to ascertain really so it is a bit early concluding. Whatever the case, these young men are on to some greatness musically and you can see.
